i read a seven page article on the state of affairs in tibet.
the article filled me with an unexplainable despair, but there was no way i could stop reading. i'm neither religious nor very sentimental when it comes to fellow humans, but this really shook me.
maybe you should read it too.

Tibet it not a country. It's a concept. Thinking about Tibet puts images of robe clad monks, meditation, spirituality and peace in my mind. My heart breaks for Tibet.
The international community needs to stop recognizing Tibet as part of China.
tibet is not a country
rich mythology in every nook and corner of the land, tales of gods and demons pouring out of prayer flags in every corner of every high altitude caravan path, spirits residing in lakes and enchanted forests... spirituality and awarened raised to planes so high, where bandits are treated with respect, unarmed monks police the streets and the monastery educates, employs, administers and feeds the people.
tibet is not a country.
tibet is slowly being wiped out.
all you'll have left is stories.
